Docket charge
The paperwork and consignment documentation fee, shown as a separate line item.
FOV
Freight on value — transit risk coverage proportional to the declared value of your goods.
Handling
Loading, unloading, and hub handling where your consignment is transferred between legs.
ODA / special areas
An out-of-delivery-area charge applies when the destination lies beyond the standard service zone.
Platform fee
What keeps BookRoket running — quotes, tracking, support, and settlement management.
GST
Government tax applied as per the applicable rate, with proper GST invoicing for business bookings.
What affects the price

Weight and slabs
Freight is calculated on chargeable weight, which considers both actual weight and volumetric weight against the transporter’s slabs.
Distance
Longer lanes cost more. Each transporter prices their lanes individually on their rate card.
Service type
Part-load, business freight, hub transfers, and rail each carry different economics — the quote reflects the service you choose.
To-pay or prepaid
To-pay bookings shift the freight payment to the receiver at delivery; prepaid settles everything upfront in one payment.
