Terms of Service
The terms that govern your use of the BookRoket platform — a pre-launch intercity part-load freight marketplace operated by Meezoy Ventures Private Limited.
Last updated: 27 September 2026
1. Definitions
In these Terms of Service (“Terms”), the following words have the meanings given below:
- “Platform” means the BookRoket website, mobile applications, and related services operated by Meezoy Ventures Private Limited (“BookRoket”, “we”, “us”, “our”).
- “Customer” means any individual or business that uses the Platform to book the movement of goods.
- “Transporter” means a verified third-party carrier, fleet owner, or logistics operator that publishes lane rate cards and fulfils bookings on the Platform.
- “Consignment” means a parcel, package, or load booked by a Customer for movement on one or more legs, identified by an LR (lorry receipt) number or railway receipt (RR) number issued for the journey.
- “Freight charges” means the total amount the Customer pays for a booking, comprising the transporter’s rate plus applicable taxes and any platform or ancillary charges disclosed at checkout.
2. What BookRoket is (and is not)
BookRoket is a marketplace that connects Customers with independent Transporters for intercity part-load movement of goods. We do not own, lease, or operate any vehicles, warehouses, or railway wagons ourselves.
The contract for the carriage of goods is between the Customer and the Transporter that accepts the booking. Our role is to facilitate the transaction: publishing transporter rate cards, enabling booking and payment, providing milestone tracking and LR numbers, and offering a support channel for issues. We act as an agent for facilitating payments and communication, not as a carrier.
3. Eligibility and account use
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Platform. Businesses may use the Platform through an authorised representative. You agree to:
- Provide accurate contact and shipment details when booking.
- Keep your phone number and login credentials secure, including OTPs sent to you.
- Not misuse the Platform, interfere with its operation, or attempt to circumvent its booking, pricing, or payment flows.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, submit fraudulent bookings, or repeatedly ship prohibited items.
4. Booking and quotes
Quotes shown on the Platform are generated from Transporter-published lane rate cards for the route, weight slab, and service type you select. A quote is an estimate until you complete payment, after which the booking is confirmed and an LR number is issued.
You are responsible for entering the correct weight, dimensions, commodity description, and pickup/delivery addresses. If the actual goods materially differ from the declared particulars (for example, heavier weight or a different commodity), the Transporter may re-quote, refuse the consignment, or levy additional charges in line with the published rate card.
5. Pricing and payment
- One payment: you pay a single consolidated amount at booking. This covers the transporter’s freight for all legs of the consignment, applicable GST, and any platform charges — each line item is shown separately before you pay.
- GST invoice: a tax invoice for the freight charges will be made available to you in the format published on our website. GST is charged at the rate applicable to the transport service.
- To-pay terms: unless the booking flow offers a “to-pay” option and you select it, payment is collected online in advance. Where to-pay is offered, the receiver must settle the outstanding amount before handover.
- Price changes: rates on published lane cards may change. The price locked at the time you complete payment applies to that booking.
6. Cancellations by the customer
Cancellation and refund terms are set out in our Refunds & Cancellation Policy. In summary: cancellations requested before pickup attract a smaller cancellation fee; once goods are picked up, cancellations are limited to stopping movement where operationally possible and refunding only the unused portion. Cancellations are requested from the tracking screen or by writing to hello@bookroket.com.
7. Transporter obligations
Transporters on the Platform agree, among other things, to:
- Maintain accurate, current lane rate cards and service availability.
- Honour confirmed bookings, pickup windows, and published transit-time ranges.
- Issue LR numbers and provide milestone updates so Customers can track consignments.
- Verify the receiver’s identity through OTP handover before releasing goods.
- Handle goods with reasonable care and comply with applicable transport and motor vehicle laws.
BookRoket onboards and periodically reviews Transporters, but each Transporter remains independently responsible for the carriage it performs.
8. Prohibited items and packaging
You must not book the movement of items listed in our Prohibited Items Policy, which includes hazardous materials, illegal goods, and high-value items such as currency and undeclared jewellery. Restricted items must be declared in advance. Goods must be packed to withstand normal handling; inadequately packed goods may be refused at pickup, and the Customer bears the risk of damage arising from poor packaging.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BookRoket’s aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or in connection with a booking — including loss, damage, delay, or misdelivery of a consignment — is limited to the freight charges you actually paid for that booking.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses such as lost profits, business interruption, or loss of goodwill. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including rights available to you as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
Claims for loss or damage must be raised within 7 days of delivery (or of the scheduled delivery date for non-delivery), supported by the LR number, photographs where available, and the booking invoice.
10. Force majeure
Neither BookRoket nor the Transporter is liable for failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, floods, strikes, accidents, road or rail blockades, government orders, epidemics, or disruptions to payment or communication networks. In such cases, we will make reasonable efforts to re-schedule the consignment and keep you informed through milestone updates.
11. Dispute resolution
If you have a complaint, please first contact us at hello@bookroket.com so we can try to resolve it informally. If the matter is not resolved within 30 days, either party may refer the dispute to arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The arbitration will be conducted by a sole arbitrator mutually appointed by the parties (or appointed by a competent court in case of disagreement), the seat of arbitration will be Hyderabad, Telangana, and the language will be English.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to the arbitration clause above, the courts at Hyderabad, Telangana, India have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services or the law. The current version will always be published on this page with its “Last updated” date. Material changes will be notified to registered users by email or in-app notice at least 7 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
