How to choose: a checklist

• Weigh and measure your consignment first — actual and volumetric weight.
• Get a courier quote AND a part-load quote for anything over 20 kg; compare all-in.
• Check courier volumetric divisors: bulky light goods get expensive fast in courier networks.
• For fragile heavy goods, ask who handles loading — courier hubs sort fast; freight handles heavy.
• Urgency matters: couriers win on 1–2 day promises; freight wins on price for 2–5 day lanes.
